Buddy Bears Program
Help us bring Buddy Bears to fire trucks across Newfoundland and Labrador! For years, St. John’s firefighters have used Buddy Bears to comfort children during stressful and frightening situations. Now, we want to expand the program province-wide and get a Buddy Bear on every fire truck!
VOCM Happy Tree
The VOCM Happy Tree has been a Christmas tradition for over 50 years! VOCM Cares and VOCM in partnership with the Avalon Mall collect toy donations to support the Salvation Army during the Holiday season.
VOCM Cares Janeway Patient Support Fund
The VOCM Cares Janeway Patient Support Fund helps pediatric patients and their families facing financial challenges due to medical treatment. The fund helps ease
unexpected expenses, including medical equipment, medications, counselling, meals, and accommodations.
VOCM Cares School Inclusion Fund
The VOCM Cares School Inclusion Fund launches September 2026 to help schools in Newfoundland and Labrador provide timely assistance so more students can
participate, belong and thrive.
VOCM Cares General Fund
Donations to our General Fund help VOCM Cares direct support where it’s needed most.
In Memoriam Donations: When a family member or friend passes away it can sometimes be difficult to find the right way to show you care. An in memoriam donation to the VOCM Cares Foundation is a thoughtful way to give meaning to their name. In return, a personalized letter will be mailed to the family to let them know about your special gift.
In Honor Donations: Not sure what to get that certain someone? Birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, congratulations, or whatever the occasion may be, you can be sure that when they receive a letter saying you made a donation on their behalf to the VOCM Cares Foundation it will be a gift you’ll both feel good about!
Monthly Donations: Monthly donations are an excellent way to show your continued support for the VOCM Cares Foundation. Your monthly gifts will go towards the support local charities in Newfoundland and Labrador.
One-Time Donations: Your donation will go towards improving education, health, and the overall well being of the people of our province.
Supporting our Special Events and Fundraisers: We hold multiple events throughout the year like: radio-thons, auctions, Happy Tree, the VOCM Cares Coats for Kids Program and more, where we raise funds for both our own charity, the community, and other organizations. Donating to these events is a great way to support the efforts of charities in our province.
